The home button only became less responsive after 2 months and sometimes you have to press harder. The included instructions aren't even for the iPad, so useless. Check Youtube instead. A flex cable differs from an OEM cable in that it has an extra section that needs to be attached to the screen in a loop. See the image I found on Youtube. If you don't, you risk damaging the ribbon cable and getting ghost touches and dead spots.

The home button didn't work, but since I used it for an iPad 5 . I just reused the home button, no problem. The tools provided are great. It comes with things you didn't know you needed, but which make the job easier and seem to be of better quality than most kits. The touchscreen works great and the picture is perfect. The only thing is that this digitizer has a grid that is visible at a certain tilt, but in no way detracts from the optics. Overall a pretty good buy and would buy again.

I've tried replacing the screens in many other devices but to no avail. I can't say that this set was very easy, but not bad at all. You need patience and a good hour to get it right. It took me longer than most because my screen was completely shattered, meaning it came out in smaller pieces rather than one. Quick Tip: Feel free to use heat and a blow dryer.
