If you plan to use it for purposes other than decorative (animals, mycology, horticulture, etc.) as a last resort, I do not recommend it. The inside is full of weeds, rocks and sand of all kinds. I think they take it on bail and then flip it on the outside to make it look nice. This is probably why the packaging says that the product is not intended for animals, even though it is completely natural. There may be weeds that are harmful to animals, stones or something else. I would rate it 5 stars because it looks nice from the outside for a decorative bail, but to be honest even when it was moved there were rocks and sticker balls flying all over the place even though it's pretty nicely trimmed on the outside. It would be nice if they brushed the straw a little considering how much it costs compared to real feed straw which is around $10 for a hundred pounds.
