This is normal, works well enough for a while but doesn't last for long term use. The foam in the palm rest deforms fairly quickly after about a week of prolonged contact with the wrist. Although the foam will eventually deform, the compacted support still works, albeit not as effectively. The UpdateSeller contacted me and sent me an updated product and I have to say that this new one is more like a gel and holds up well after use!
