Saved my ankle in an accident!

Wore these boots for about a month. I didn't want to buy them as many reviews said they weren't suitable for street driving. At first they were stiff at the ankle, difficult to shift and break, but it gets easier with more use. Since I don't ride that much, I'm still breaking her in. On a sport bike, the shifter is small so I have a hard time getting my foot under the lever due to the large pad size in my toe. These are obviously dirt bike boots, but I wanted something that would protect my foot if the bike falls on me. It's clear they're not ideal for a sports bike, but it's doable. Overall I am happy with these boots! I was at an intersection the other day and someone hit my bike from behind and stopped the truck on my ankle when they realized they had hit me. I couldn't get my foot out from under the wheel, but the stiffness of the boots protected me from the full weight of the car. If I wore regular sneakers my ankle would get bruised! I am very grateful that I put my money into these boots. The only damage to the boot was that the buckle had come loose from the three screws holding it in place, an easy repair. Regardless of the incident, they are incredibly durable and I will continue to use these boots!
