When we first started cooking with the Instant Pot, we were immediately struck by how easy, quick, and versatile it was. One of our complaints is the O-ring. We cook many dishes with lots of intense (and often quite hot) spices. Our first courses of tika masala, spicy Korean soup and spiced chicken were excellent. However, my Apple Crumble came out a bit spicy. Not perfect. Our fragrant endeavors had no place in the sweet desert, and the O-ring's inability to truly lose the scent/color of our first seasonings spoiled our tastier dishes. Now I have a spicy ring, a sweet ring and a spicy ring. The colors make it easy and the quality of each ring is the same as the ring that came with the pot. For the price you can't beat it. This is an essential accessory.
