🔘 Clear Instant Pot Sealing Ring 2 Pack - 5 or 6 Quart Size Review

Ordered these for my duo 6qt in size 6qt. They are clearly not the right size. Too large. The photos show a comparison with the clean install that came with my IP. Be careful.

Please note it doesn't fit as tight as the one that came with my instant pot I tried anyway just to make sure there was steam around the seal Escapes called the Instant Pot and asked them what they knew about it, although this cannot be proven. I am told that they (IP) know counterfeits are being sold. I ordered 2 directly from Instant Pot, although I may have paid a little more for A (about $4 with free shipping). At least I got the right offer, I'm not sure.

Unfortunately I ordered them over a year ago (November 2017) when I ordered my instant pot. Today was the first time I had to use a different O-ring. Today I used the red ring to make something cute. It doesn't fit, it's smaller than the transparent silicone ring that comes with the pan. The blue ring is the same size as the red one. Both fit the original clear O-ring. I had to stretch the red ring a lot to fit the lid. The instant pot failed to seal. Steam came all over the lid.

I bought this to have a spare o-ring for my Instant Pot and I'm so glad I did! I also have two missions. If you're like me, you use the Instant Pot a lot. I bought this silicone ring as a second ring for the IP DUO-60 pressure cooker. I use the original spicy ring and soak it in vinegar for 24 hours about once a month. I use this ring for sweets like cheesecake and neutrals like oatmeal when I want to make sure the food doesn't get odors. I initially gave this product a star because after a few weeks these rings seemed to lose their ability to hold a seal. I was wrong. The lack of a seal was likely due to interference from the Instant Pot's silicone stand, which has long, flexible handles that protrude from the top of the 6-litre pot and are meant to fold inward once you close the lid.
