Review on Samsung Galaxy A31 64GB International by Kero Kero ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

- The AMOLED screen flickers at low brightness, and sometimes at higher values, which can cause eye strain. The screen colors are oversaturated, but this does not cause much discomfort, and you can always switch to the natural color mode. - the main camera, with all its 48 megapixels, is inferior in shooting quality even to the 16 megapixel camera of the old flagship Galaxy S5. - widescreen and macro cameras are too dull in terms of shooting quality and do not deserve attention. - The maximum possible video recording mode is 1080p at 30 fps. Video recording 60/120 fps and 4K is not available. - subscreen fingerprint scanner works slowly, up to 1 second. The response accuracy is not very high, about 3 cases out of 5. - when talking on the phone, the presence of the device near the ear is not always correctly recognized, the screen turns on, which can cause unwanted sensor responses. - in terms of performance, the device lacks stars from the sky, sometimes there are lags in the interface, thoughtfulness is especially noticeable in Google Play. Even simple games with 2D graphics may not run very smoothly. - The Youtube application cannot start streaming to a switched off LG TV, although at the same time the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy J5 Prime do it without problems. - the equalizer settings are not automatically applied when connecting bluetooth headphones, each time you need to enter the settings manually and re-push the equalizer preset. - in a case, an already large and heavy phone becomes even larger and heavier, and without a case and protective glass, I think that modern devices quickly lose their external gloss and do not last long. - when using the phone, the presence of a capacious 5000 mAh battery is not felt, the charge ends almost as quickly as on devices with much less capacious batteries.

Pros
  • - AMOLED screen. For all its nuances (PWM, burn-in, acid colors), clarity, contrast and the overall impression of the picture are very pleasant. - for their money, pretty good cameras, main and front. - the ability to work in 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. - the ability to work with a dual application profile, as well as in a secure confidential container. - the ability to run two applications at the same time, on a split screen.
Cons
  • - lack of night mode of the camera. - Insufficient video playback performance in Youtube. The very resource-intensive VP9 codec is forced to be used, and as a result, the device is not able to smoothly play 1080p60 video above 1x speed.
