very quiet, almost as quiet as the fans in my case. Recommended. When attaching to the front of the Fractal Design Define R5 case, I found that the required screws were missing. My situation is a bit unusual, this bracket needs "long" screws. The fans came with the more common short screws. Fractal Design recommends using these long screws for #6-32 x 30mm case fans; burnished, Phillips pan head screws. They're almost impossible to find, but other types of heads are more readily available and work well. Noise-dampening silicone "screws" (looks like long nipples) are also available. They are attached to the back of the mounting holes and the fan is placed on top of them from the front. I find that the fans are not audible when using steel screws, but silicone "screws" might be a cheaper option if you need a long case screw.
