Great blades for a silhouette cameo

These blades are awesome! I ordered these because my cameo required me to cut very small text onto self-adhesive vinyl and a regular cameo blade just wasn't enough. I read online that the cb09 blade is good for difficult cuts. um what? I've never heard of them, but unless I found them on Revain. They come with a holder, blades in 3 different sizes and springs. You collect them yourself, but it's very simple. I didn't have instructions but there are many videos on You Tube showing how to do it. Blade sizes are 60 degrees, 45 degrees, and 30 degrees. You want to choose a blade based on the material/project you are cutting. Mine came unmarked but they are color coded (30-Yellow, 45-Red, 60-Blue). They are also not numerically adjustable like cameo blades, you just have to look at them. I didn't find it difficult. If you have an old cameo blade, you can set it up numerically and then adjust the cb09 blade to make it look the same visually. 60 degrees is good for intricate cuts and thin material like regular sticky vinyl, so it worked great for my small text. 45 degrees is suitable for standard materials such as card stock and heavier vinyl. The 30 degree tilt angle is suitable for thicker materials such as fabric and thick cardboard. After completing my first project a few months ago, I've only used these blades on my cameo. They work a lot better than Silhouette ratchet blades in my opinion, and they're a lot better value since you get a bunch of each size. Sometimes you may need to adjust blade size depending on what you are cutting. I recently cut sticky glitter vinyl with a 60 degree blade. I had trouble cutting all the way through, even after adjusting the blade and cut settings. After several failed attempts I finally switched to a 45 degree blade and it cut vinyl like butter! The seller was great - very responsive and helpful when I asked for an extra blade holder.
