The goods are very good and correspond to the description. Specular reflection is clean (no distortion or bad areas), but as others have noted, it appears to be under 7x; but how do you recognize that with the eye? The light is bright but doesn't illuminate the face as much as one would expect. Of course, there is a noticeable difference between off and on, and it's better when it's on. After using the mirror for a minute or two to check things out, I had a clear pattern of light in my field of vision that dissipated after a few minutes. I felt the light was so bright, but the brightness didn't translate to the bright face; only better lit. The suction cup mount holds VERY WELL on the mirror. It sticks so well that when you move it it's really hard to remove; pack or move. Because it's a suction cup, it works best on non-porous surfaces like glass mirrors or windows. The carrying case is nice, but as someone pointed out, the backlight button in the case can be easily turned on. Remove the batteries before packing them in your luggage. Batteries (3xAA) are not included in the scope of delivery and are required for the lighting. Overall, I can't deduct a single star for the price, as it does what it promises at a very good price.
