Review on DLGJPA Drying Sports Lightweight Walking Men's Shoes in Athletic by Paul Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for the beach

I wore them on a trip to Maui but took them to Ireland to try them on first. The Irish Sea is COLD and the "beach" we walked on was rocky, not sandy. On previous trips to Ireland I have had aches and pains from cold feet when walking on these rocks and I was hoping that these DLGPA water shoes would help alleviate that pain and stay on my feet while swimming in the sea. They worked great both times, so I took them to Maui to protect my feet from underwater rocks and boulders. These shoes worked perfectly. I wore them all the time. Walking on sharp rocks on the shore and in the water for passive snorkeling (I used fins for longer stretches). I never felt like they could come off and my feet were protected the whole time. The tread on the underside is soft and grippy so I never felt like I slipped on a wet rock. The only issue I have with these shoes is that the tread on the outsole is criss-cross instead of leaving little 'pockets' for pebbles and broken asphalt to get into. I learned that the pointy end of a plain old can opener is the perfect tool for digging rocks out of bags. These shoes are very light and pack very easily into my luggage without taking up almost as much space as a regular pair of running shoes. .I have worn these hiking shoes for miles. I found them comfortable and perfect for the job they were made for. Featured!
