If you live in a house with limited space or travel a lot, I think this could definitely work for ironing/steaming. This little guy appears to be well made, has quality materials, and is doing a good job of helping me get rid of wrinkles. The cool thing is that I can steam some things while they're hanging on a hanger instead of taking them off. Taking them off and ironing them is fine either way, but I always have to get something out to make sure the clothes don't fall on the floor, something that might be rough or damage the item. Easier said than done in a smaller space when recovering from a lot of damage to the house, and it helps me a little. While it seems to perform better on a flat surface, I like its versatility. Not only does it work well at home, but it's also great for travel. It has a small footprint and is pretty strong for its size. I daresay it performs as well or even better than the full-size hardware I had previously. Also, it seems to be on sale at times, and if you can catch it in that timeframe, it seems like solid value.
