UPDATE September 2019: It's been a year since I bought it. The remote control slowly but surely stopped working after about 5 or 6 months! I bought another brand and got the same result. Now I will buy this again before the price goes up because the installation was so easy. It sucks, it won't last longer, but it has to be if I can't get the original remote. ___________________________________ Original: I'll start with the good parts, there are mostly good parts. 1. It works! It's really versatile! I didn't have to program it, I'm so shocked! The instructions say that most TVs (98%) should work automatically with no programming required, but if you need that too the programming instructions seem pretty straightforward.2. The remote doesn't look anything like my 2010 Toshiba 40" LCD and/or LED TV, but the universal remote has one button that controls all functions, including the half-mute function. The only issue I have is that the edges of the universal remote are not rounded like the original remote. The edges of the universal remote border on "sharp" but don't worry, you won't get cut. Overall I'm very happy with the ease of use and the price and would recommend anyone looking for a new Toshiba remote to try this first and then the more expensive ones.
