I have moved over 60 pounds of clothing for 1200 miles without incident. I've read reviews of several car hangers complaining about the clothes rail falling off. I tried riding with this fixed length and it fell off. However, when I left the bar unlocked, the bar was able to adjust while riding and would not move even though I had overloaded it. I bought this car hanger after looking closely at the width of the hanger hooks. This one seemed to be the most durable and didn't disappoint. It fits my 2016 Subaru Outback and has enough length. I recommend wire/velvet hangers because they allow you to see the rearview mirror. If I had tubular plastic temples the review would be closed.
