Works as expected. It does what it's supposed to with no problems. The forks are a little tight getting in and out, but I would have preferred them to be too loose. Very easy to install if you know how to replace electrical wall paneling. You could probably just plug it in without plugging it in for travel use, but that's not what it's designed for. Also, I think the tight end caps would make it difficult to use if they weren't also installed in the socket via a central screw mount.
