Review on 🌱 250 Pack Agave Fiber Straws: Unwrapped, Bio Preferred, Eco-Friendly Alternative to Plastic & Paper Straws - Plant Based by Darlene Thomas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

As close as possible.

I own a restaurant and have been looking for a decent straw for over a decade as we don't use plastic. I've used metal, aardvark paper, and hay, but nothing gave the flavor people are craving. A friend gave me some of these for Christmas and I LOVED them at the time. (First thing I did was throw one in a glass of water for a few days, no problem). Many biodegradable plastic corn straws are currently available, but they must be composted under very specific conditions. In the wild, they would take a century to decompose. Too long in my book. These agave straws will decompose in the wild or in a landfill after 5 years, not perfectly but much sooner than corn plastics. I actually bought them for a restaurant at Revain because there was no manufacturer. I was glad the price was almost the same as if I had bought them in bulk. Anyway, we have ways to get to eco-friendly disposables, but right now in 2021, that's almost as close as you want. My customers love them too.
