Lightweight plastic stays on my soft fine hair well. The lid snaps easily into place and holds the curlers firmly in place. The position does not change. Then the cover comes off easily. The curlers have tiny points that hold the hair in place but don't tangle. I can "comb" the curlers onto a strand of hair to smooth and separate the strands to the ends. I haven't encountered any inappropriate jamming. I think the design helps the hair dry fairly quickly, although admittedly my hair dries quickly anyway. I was able to use a blow dryer to finish off my curls. The heat doesn't seem to have bothered them. The transparent body is simple but effective. Some hair rollers fit in the middle of larger hair rollers, allowing them all to fit in a relatively compact space.
