Review on GOOACC Retainer Fasteners Assortment Chrysler by Enoch Sahay

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Requires mapping and a 4th shelf to make it easy to find fasteners later

In fact, this unit deserves 4.5 stars to leave room for improvement. It basically consists of 4 components: 1 metal fastener removal tool, a plastic bag containing 4 plastic fastener removal tools, 10 cable tie fasteners hanging freely in a shipping carton, and 620 fasteners in 3 interlocking plastic compartments. Trays with a sheet of paper above them indicating the type of clasp but not where each clasp is located. On top is a paper fortification inventory that can be converted into a map. Initially, the minimum length, the minimum diameter of the rod and the maximum diameter of the bush are indicated in millimeters on each fastening diagram; they are generally arranged sequentially with 2 being out of place. It is possible to match the closure based on these measurements (mostly in millimetres), the newsprint quality image and the inventory. Once identified, I mark on the image which tray and 1 of the 5 compartments are on the tray and highlight the unique features of the clasp in the image for quick identification. This inventory fits on the 80% transparent tray so the photos are clearly visible. Some closures are so large that some of them spill over into adjacent compartments, making them difficult to identify. A random inspection of about 1/3 of the inventory shows the correct number of fasteners (I had to use an inventory count to identify multiple fasteners of the same size). A fourth compartment for tools and cable tie types would have earned them 5 stars. Half a point was deducted on day 3 of ownership due to loose tools, zip ties and superfluous fasteners. If there are any other quality issues I will update this review on 4/21/21. At the end of April 2021 a tool was used to remove metal fasteners for Corolla trunk lids, very easy to use at 8 fasteners. Everything was reused because there was minor damage when removing it with this tool.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
