Strong enough to pick up dirt but leave sand behind
Once assembled it's impressive. I've used non-motorized ones that take forever for the water to flow out. It took seconds! I'm very impressed with how this took the gloom out of the sand, but the sand has fallen again (on video). This is ideal for an aquarium with sand or small rocks. My only complaint is that the instructions were very basic, with illustrations that were difficult to make out.
