The functions are simple and easy. But described as a "heavy food cutter "

functions are simple and easy. But referred to as "heavy food slices"? To make a Korean dish that calls for thinly sliced beef around the eyes, I had to cut off a 3-pound chunk of semi-frozen steak. That's why I bought the car. Although the machine is billed as a "professional food slicer", Kitchener's instructions state: THIS MACHINE IS NOT INTENDED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE! and "Do not use for more than 10 minutes at a time. Let the machine sit for half an hour before you start working again.” It tells you everything. The manufacturer fears that with intensive use the engine may burn out! I chopped the onion. Nice thin slices. But the slow blade speed and low power convinced me it would never be able to handle a 3 pound piece of frozen cattle eye. CONCLUSION: If you want to cut soft cheese, sausage or onions, this is a great toy. If you need electricity, get a pass. I returned this car the same day I received it.
