This is the best phone mount I have ever bought. It's great that the accessory maker finally realized that giant phones (Notes, LG V, Iphone+) weigh a lot more than other phones. They also range from $900 to $1,000, and people who spend that kind of money usually go for a large armored case like the Otter Box Defender or similar, which makes a very wide phone look even wider. This holder can actually open just over 3 1/2 inches (for those of us who don't own a metric tape measure in the US). I have a Note 9 with the specified OtterBox and I can easily put it in the holder and close it. That's easy. It also has a solid feel and doesn't feel or sound cheap when in use. I've looked through a lot of universal mounts at Revain, I usually buy the cheapest one I think will fit my phone, most don't. Every cheap holder I've had has a super sticky suction cup that sticks to the glass like a seashell. The problem I had was that the spring holding the suction cup to the holder's shoulder would become weak or sloppy and the holder would bounce. or the arm begins to sag and cannot be corrected by any lever adjustment or screw tightening. This mount hasn't even started after months of daily use - I ride a lot every day. Very happy with this product.
