It was a lot of fun to build. The difficulty to reward ratio is good. I didn't realize how much of this was DIY, but it's a lot! I probably spent about 48 hours of work on this, but the time is LOST. I'm already looking for the next one to try. I'm so proud of the finished product. I have a few tips: 1. They give you extra stuff for all Nic Nacs, so feel free to get creative! For example, I modified the instructions for the broomstick and made my own glasses out of excess paper. I also added a tablecloth with extra fabric.2. Some instructions aren't strictly necessary as the jars say to cut TWO circles, one each for the top and bottom, but since I'm gluing the jars onto the shelf I didn't cut out the bottom circle to save time. It also involves painting the wood pieces on the closet shelves but after adding the Nic Nacs you couldn't see the color so I skipped it. The only thing that freezes me is that the instruction manual uses mm but the ruler they provided was in centimeters. . I started trying to convert the measurements, but then realized they're easier to see with the eye, seriously. The only part that you CANNOT easily change is the lighting and the initial board assembly. so easy to follow. The only reason I would say this isn't for young children is because the objects are so tiny it gives you the stability in your hands you need.
