The internet says that 45db is normal conversation volume, well, that might be true, but only if that conversation was a constant, Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.This is definitely too loud if you're looking for anything even close to quiet . Keep things at 35dB. That being said, this thing moves an impressive amount of air for its size. I used a 120mm Delta fan and 60db is way too loud to even think about. It's what I would call "slightly annoying" being in the same room with him. In short, put it on your server, not your desktop.
