Despite all the hype surrounding the release of the B550 chipset, I bought this motherboard thinking it was a decent budget option with everything you need. Don't get me wrong, this thing worked. However, the RGB lighting from the I/O shroud and chipset stayed on even when the system was off, which really annoyed me when trying to sleep in my normally dark room. I tried disabling it with Polychrome but the program crashed my computer immediately. I tried contacting ASRock for support but the customer service and technical team knew less than some of the people who posted on their forums. It's still going because it's a new product, but I'd avoid it for now. I can definitely say that they used to be a subsidiary of Asus, although the whole company seemed inexperienced. Not to mention that the I/O shield was reused from another board with empty WiFi antenna cutouts, which is just a sign of the quality and effort that went into the product.
