This bird toy came in translucent (not transparent as pictured) acrylic and came with no assembly instructions. I was emotionally unprepared for creating this toy and sometimes wondered if the "mental stimulation" was for the bird or for me. However, I was able to flex my mental muscles and figure out how the pieces fit together and how to secure them (pro tip: the weird "C" shaped details are important). Even an elementary diagram would be a great addition to the package. It definitely wasn't obvious that the chain should go through the entire toy and that was a bit confusing at first. However, I did catch my bird eating about 20 minutes after putting the Big Scary New Thing in, so that's always a good sign and it hasn't fallen apart yet, so I'll call that a win.
