Review on Pack Vacuum Sealers Unlimited Heavy Duty Kitchen & Dining by Omar Card

The bags DO NOT seal securely

Although the bags made from these rolls looked well sealed, they clearly let a lot of air through the next day. I've even added double gaskets to both ends with no improvement in performance. I used more than half of the first roll and then switched to the second roll "just in case" it was a "bad roll". When the results were the same, I concluded (wrongly) that the material wasn't the problem. I used a Food Saver vacuum sealer which I have been using for over a decade. Since this packaging material looked the same as what I had previously used and had reasonably reliable performance, I figured the problem must be related to my machine's performance. I tried ordering replacement gaskets but this model was no longer supported by any appliance parts suppliers including the Food Saver. When Covid-19 made it unwise to do frequent grocery shopping, I decided to replace the Food Saver. I received a new food saver and used it right away. However, sealed bags made from this material still leaked. I finally realized that the problem was with the material and not the car. When I used the Food Saver brand starting materials that came with the new machine, the sealed bags stayed sealed with no air leakage. I have used this to vacuum and freeze/refrigerate fresh meat, poultry and seafood, cheese and other fresh or cooked foods compatible with evacuation compression. Without exposure to air, my cheeses stay fresh almost indefinitely, and frozen meat stays fresh even after three months in the freezer. This allows me to keep track of good sales prices and buy those products at average prices that are 50% below the "normal" price. problem
