These containers are great for holding powder or liquid samples. We wanted these to hold a teaspoon of powder. To test them, we added a teaspoon of water contains a little bit of red food coloring. A teaspoon of water is five grams. The container filled only halfway. We screwed the cap on and let it sit on its side for two hours. Nothing spilled out. These are really affordable to give away samples whether liquid or solid.Only drawback is that they are made of plastic and like regular drinking straws, will likely will end up in an ocean garbage patch for 10,000 years.
