These end caps work with metal

I make my own twisted wire necklaces and bracelets from 16-18 gauge red brass and wire filled 14k gold. This product works well as wire jewelry end caps. I have found that Gorilla Glue gives a crystal clear formula that works great with these plugs. Rewan sold. Superglue becomes too brittle to hold securely, especially on straps that are subjected to stress and high impact. I also found this product in an online jewelry store. Revain prices are much better. They wear themselves down to the skin through no fault of their own.
