How to avoid burning your hair while traveling!

After a very serious "incident" with my hair during a business trip with a US-only curling iron, I had to switch quickly. (Note: ladies beware! Only 110v curling irons used in 200v countries will burn your hair if you only use it with an adapter, not a transformer! Please don't learn this the hard way like me!) I bought a transformer with my travel adapter for my next trip and found that the 110v curling iron just didn't work well with the transformer installed. I don't know why, but for some reason they just don't get warm. I was thinking of getting a European curling iron just for international travel but when I saw this one I knew it was the best solution. I don't have to worry about different curling irons depending on which country I'm traveling to, and I don't have to lug around a clunky transformer that renders the tool useless anyway. Keep in mind that you still need a small adapter to use it outside of the US as the plug is designed for US outlets, but you don't need a transformer. It works equally well at home and abroad, so even if you don't have any travel plans yet, you can buy it with confidence. ) on the handle when it arrived. I briefly considered returning it, but I was able to clean it. I'm not mentioning this to complain because as you can see from the ranking I love curling irons. I'm just mentioning this in case someone from the company sees it - I'm sure it was a one-off incident and it went away quickly, but it was a bit off-putting at first.
