Better than a spatula
When I first used this press I was amazed at how thin my patties came out and how even they were. I use a palm to push down, so a flat grip doesn't bother me. Using a spatula or BS Bacon Press I had trouble lifting the edges of the burger. I get a much more even crust with this press and this is my new approach. It says 'stainless steel' on it but magnets stick to it like regular steel but no rusting issues so far.
