Better than a spatula

When I first used this press I was amazed at how thin my patties came out and how even they were. I use a palm to push down, so a flat grip doesn't bother me. Using a spatula or BS Bacon Press I had trouble lifting the edges of the burger. I get a much more even crust with this press and this is my new approach. It says 'stainless steel' on it but magnets stick to it like regular steel but no rusting issues so far.

Smash hamburger goodness!

This hamburger press is fantastic. Very durable and easy to clean. I saw a few reviewers who didn't like the pen, but that wasn't a problem for me. I made 12 hamburgers tonight and making them nice and thin is so easy with this press! I sprayed on some cooking spray and it immediately slid off. As someone else mentioned, it works best if you break the press and then slide it off the hamburger horizontally. Pulling straight up can cause the meat to stick, but that will happen with any press or…

Stronger than I thought.

So far, 2.4 ounces of 80/20 ground beef is enough. I make two meatballs. I sprinkle one side with coarse salt, coarse pepper and some garlic powder. I only add American cheese to the first patty, so it's in the middle. Fried potato rolls are good too. Dip it in A1 sauce and my goodness it's good. In itself, the crusher does its job perfectly. I don't use parchment paper. Once you break the burger, I make a circular motion for about 10 seconds, after which it lets go. Once you get the right…

great pan press!

I bought this to use as a skillet and it works great! this is great for a hamburger or hash browns (perfect for two hash browns). It's heavy but not TOO heavy, allowing it to evenly brown anything it's placed on. It's a lot easier to use than the cast iron press I also own. I haven't used it to make smash burgers yet, but I know it will work well for that too. If I had one complaint, it would be a pen. It's a bit wide (and I have big hands) and while the edges aren't sharp, they're definitely…

BEST Burger Crusher

Let me tell you this is the best! First, the handle is made on the tool rather than being screwed in on either side like some, causing it to rotate on impact. It stays beautiful and durable while being easy on the wrist. The size is also way better than a spatula which is usually too big for home use in a cast iron skillet. It's the perfect size for pans and burgers. You can also use the double spatula technique, but I noticed a noticeable difference in the amount of pressure I was able to…

Solid stainless steel, meant to last, polished so take care

Bought this to cook "Smash Burger Veggie Burgers" in a pan. No more red meat for me. When perfecting my veggie burger formula, I use it to smooth it out. I stopped grilling because I read about the carcinogenic chemicals made by the "fats" that drip into the fire and coat the food. I have stainless steel and cast iron skillets that are about 12" in diameter to use with this 'tool'. I will still use the A-1 sauce to flavor the veggie burger, but no more meat. I could make some chicken or turkey…
