Review on Sling Media SB500 100 Slingbox 500 by Shawn Quick

This is my 5th Slingbox and I have been a regular customer for 15 years. I promoted their products with my friends and spent quite a bit of money on their products. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend anyone to spend money on their products. Especially $300. They have very poor support (nonexistent) and recently forced everyone to watch ads while browsing. It's just that it's come down so much over the last few years that I have to warn you to AVOID this overpriced model. It doesn't cost $300 and I'm worried that they seem to be sleeping at the wheel and can't endorse their own products. I regret leaving this one star review after loving her for years but the last few years have been awful. do not do that. or, if you do, choose a cheaper model for SURE. I don't think they will survive until 2017 :( (Unusable without their service. Earlier models had the ability to connect directly to the device via TCP/IP, but now this product cannot be used without logging into their service which unfortunately , the suspect has to lose money and such) so sad thanks for reading
