Pros: Affordable and labor. There are multiple levels of vibration and shock. The batteries are rechargeable and seem to last quite a while (over a week of constant noise/vibration for training). Behavior has changed significantly and our puppies are more aware of commands now. Bad: The remote screen turns off after about 15 seconds. Once this happens, the "toggle button" that allows you to select collar 1 or 2 will not activate the device or show which collar you have selected when the remote is in sleep mode. This resulted in accidentally giving feedback to the wrong dog. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but if the power button is on the left, the toggle is on the right, and the three feedback buttons are on the front. It becomes difficult to manage two large puppies. I would prefer a tactile manual switch where "up 1, down is 2" so I can know which collar is selected without trying to look at the screen and also trying to wake from standby and chasing a puppy that runs with a little tree in its mouth. Also, it can be a bit difficult to relate to working with dogs with certain coat types. Ours took a little tweaking, but it worked in the end and we don't have any issues now. I would rather charge the remote every day than wait for it to fail and struggle to see which collar is selected. Cost but I wish I had chosen a different product.
