After punching it with a working Greenlee stamp, I found that the inner wire was so badly damaged that it would have snapped if the stamp had actually been punched - hi or lo, the result was the same . I found this to be slab specific - no other hole punch with the same tool or wire on Panduit trapezoids has suffered this fate. Maybe it was a defect, but it seemed normal to me - nothing out of the ordinary. .
