Perfect Computers & Accessories

Our professional installer was very happy with this product. The hinged front made it easier for him to push cables through. We also purchased the TrendNet Health Check Tool to ensure there were no compatibility issues. The combination worked perfectly. Happy soldier. happy customer

Quality patch panel

I purchased this patch panel for my workstation for a network and server upgrade we were doing. So far, this has been a great tool for small businesses to get the job done. I can mount and hook each easily. The quality of the perforation is excellent and I had no problems embedding. The only bad thing is the price. Seems so cool for something so simple, but you buy what you have to buy.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in white

Patch panel in computer accessories and peripherals

Pretty easy installation. For a better cut, a Krone knife should be used instead of a punch 110 The photo shows the back of the patch panel. I'm just finishing the downstroke before flipping it over. The CAT 6 cables used required some maneuvering to turn without breaking the cables. Good quality panel. Bought earlier. Always test 100%.

Pros
  • There's something to it

Great for terminating an ethernet to punch an outlet.

Our new house was moved during construction. All cables were routed to the room below, which I converted into my network closet. There were no problems routing cables and they didn't slip out. mounted it on a swing arm to make it easier if I need to add more ethernet in the future. All in all a great purchase.

CHECK THE STAMPS CAREFULLY!

After punching this with a working Greenlee punch I found that the inner wire was so badly damaged it would snap when the punch actually punched - hi or lo the result was the same that this is due to the plate - no other puncher with the same tool or wire on Panduit trapezoids has met this fate. Maybe it was a defect, but it seemed normal to me - nothing out of the ordinary. knock it down CAREFULLY.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Minus only one, otherwise super

I would say that this is a product for 5 stars. This is a great patch panel that takes up very little space in my rack. However, I only have one opinion on the matter. No cable punch is included. Luckily for me, I bought some wall panels that also required a cord punch and came with one. Anything that needs a cord punch should come with a cheap plastic punch.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

CHECK THE STAMPS CAREFULLY!

After punching it with a working Greenlee stamp, I found that the inner wire was so badly damaged that it would have snapped if the stamp had actually been punched - hi or lo, the result was the same . I found this to be slab specific - no other hole punch with the same tool or wire on Panduit trapezoids has suffered this fate. Maybe it was a defect, but it seemed normal to me - nothing out of the ordinary. .

Pros
  • Type 110 IDC Terminal Blocks (Use Type 110 Tool or Krone); Use with TRENDnet TC-PDT Punch Down Tool (sold separately);
Cons

Does not securely hold perforated wires

Very disappointed with it. I have this on my home network and I've had connection issues. I turned on my network tester and it said there are two open pins on the patch panel (3 and 6). I punched through them again and noticed that the wires just slipped out as I pulled my punch back. I repeated this several times with the same result. I recommend you look elsewhere for a better product. Me? I'm returning this and using the Leviton Quick Port system.

Pros
  • Category 6 12-Port Wall Mount Patch Panel; Compatible with Cat5e and Cat6
Cons
  • Older model

Fits my home network

I used this patch panel to terminate the wires from outlets around the rooms of my house. It looks like he's up to the task so far. The stickers on the back showing which cable goes where are *not quite* aligned with the cable slots on some ports. It's easy to understand, but don't follow the stickers blindly. It helps a lot to start at one end and work through each outlet in turn (don't try to skip an outlet) so you can easily see if you left a wired outlet blank. Labels are labeled for both…

Pros
  • Includes 89D wall mount for vertical or horizontal installation; Organize wire connections with the included zip ties and connector markers
Cons
  • not sure
