We've had metal bronze shower hooks and they never rolled smoothly. My husband was frustrated and I often found the shower curtain dangling from a couple of hooks. When replacing the shower curtain, I decided to look for other double curtain rings. They were inexpensive and being plastic they didn't rust. On arrival I was a bit concerned because they seemed light. Removing the old hooks and replacing them was a bit of a hassle, but it was done quickly. But once said and done, they are great! They roll smoothly and my husband doesn't tear the curtain off its hooks and shower rod to close it! I strongly recommend buying them.
