The Ideal Ledger Pre-Drill Cutter
When fitting a ledger board to the edging of a house, pre-drilling is not usually required. However, if you need to attach something other than the rim beam, you may need to do this. This bit is the recommended size and long enough to be used for this purpose. I can't comment on durability, but I see no reason why it won't last for many years and projects.
