Review on Universal Satellite Speaker Mount in Black - Vantage Point SATS-B by Brian Diaz

For small and light satellites (up to 4 pounds I think) this is a really good deal. As other reviewers have said, they come with plenty of hardware for different types of speakers, including a keyhole adapter. However, this isn't great for heavier speakers approaching the manufacturer's stated limit (8 pounds). I just hung 4 Infinity Primus 140s on it. The 140s weigh 7 pounds and are physically bulky. First you need to very, very tight (without cracking the plastic) the Allen screws on each of the pivot points. The tilt hinge (to point the speakers downward) is almost impossible to get tight enough to hold the heavy speaker. If you tighten it enough, the entire bracket will flex due to the torque exerted on the joint by the speaker's weight. Instead of letting the hinge carry the weight, I put spacers between the wall and the bottom of the speaker. (This is for a wall mount configuration.) I'm sure a ceiling mount would be completely unsafe/unreliable for this reason. In my setup I'll probably attach an extra strap to the speaker and the wall to ensure the speaker doesn't fall off if the bracket fails (or if one of the connections comes loose). Mount heavy loudspeakers on bolts too! Still, I'm pretty sure they're perfect for small, light satellites. My advice: only buy one and try it out with your sats before buying a set.
