I ordered this to replace one of those cheap plastic wholesale stores. I mainly use a washcloth to remove grease from things like meatloaf etc. Even when I cleaned the plastic towels right away (I had several), they never seemed to get completely clean. Not so with this one. I have Norpro's signature quality construction and is easy to use. I've used it with and without the screw pin and it works either way. Tip: Needleless use works great when you need to vacuum up a lot of fat/liquid. Once you reach turbidity, screw in the needle and you should be able to suck up almost all of the liquid. And cleaning is easy. Flushing with hot water just seems to wash away any liquid that might be stuck to the metal. While I've never used this to add flavor/seasoning to a roast or turkey, I find it works very well. The hypodermic needle is very sharp and the all-metal construction means it shouldn't be a problem piercing the flesh so the solution can be injected properly. much better device.
