I was shocked at how many bags were on the roll - traditional plastic would have cost significantly more for this quantity. The material is about the same thickness as a normal plastic shopping bag, so household waste can easily fit inside. It stretches a bit but not as much as some of the heavier bags. However, I wouldn't throw things that are too sharp because they pierce easily. Overall I am incredibly happy with this product and feel so much better without having to buy a ton of single use plastic. 180 days. So don't worry about your trash falling out of the bag after a few weeks.
