In order to rate this product, you first need some background information. This is not an advertisement for another product, but what made me buy this particular headset. Please carry with me. I've had many different headsets in the $20-$120 range in the past. I'm not an audiophile so I've never had to go beyond that. Two products I've purchased that admittedly stand out are the HyperX Cloud Headset and the HyperX Cloud Revolver S Headset. The Revolver S Headset was by far the best I've owned. First and foremost, it had some serious build quality. Not only did they have a solid metal headband, they were incredibly comfortable - I especially loved how the earbuds themselves literally stuck to your head. You were essentially immersed in what you were listening/playing. They do the same but don't make your ears sweat. Unfortunately due to severe anger issues and inattention I am no longer able to use any of these headsets. Late last year I was looking for a headset that had the same BUILD QUALITY as above. After a long search at Revain, I chose this product for a number of reasons. First, the price was very attractive: it cost $50. I also noticed that the headband on this headset is made of metal instead of plastic. Through experience and reading negative reviews of plastic straps, I knew this metal strap would immediately set it apart from the vast majority of the competition. It was a very difficult choice as there were almost no reviews or ratings for this headset at the time. I didn't know if I would be happy or if it would be a VERY bad choice. Given that the price at the time of purchase was less than half what I paid for the Resolver S, it was an opportunity worth pursuing and I'm glad I did have. The sound quality is on par with most headsets in the $100 range, but nothing I would recommend for an audiophile. For gaming, however, this headset has been GREAT so far. The focus got me some kills/wins in Valorant that other people couldn't have known about. There is an additional "Sound Effects Software Pro" that I don't have installed on my computer as I'm pretty sure it really isn't needed since I'm primarily a gamer. The music has a decent amount of bass and the highs and lows seem to be well balanced for the standard configuration. I like listening to music in it. I especially like the games in it. The noise cancellation only got 3 stars because I can't comment on how good they are in that aspect. When I play and chat with others online, I'm usually not even in slightly noisy environments. My room is very quiet. Don't let that alone stop you from purchasing this product. If you're hesitating because of a seemingly unfamiliar brand, sound quality, or price, I can confidently recommend that you at least take a chance. Please note that this review is after just under 3 months of ownership. If I run into any issues with this headset in the coming months I will definitely update this review.
