Worked great in my 2012 Highlander Hybrid. I replaced the factory navigation system with an aftermarket head unit but wanted to keep the existing Toyota USB/aux socket in the dash. This cable allowed me to connect a Toyota jack to a regular USB jack on the back of a new head unit. Deactivate. The first photo shows a Toyota cable: the left connector plugs into the back of the USB and Aux port. Leave it connected. The cable splits in two, with half the USB going into the box just behind the radio (I think it's called the MMI box). You need to disconnect this brown connector (right side of the first photo) and plug it into the AX-TOYUSB-2 socket (second photo). It's clear that this isn't too difficult, but it would be useful if there were some instructions. I think some people who bought this suggested plugging it directly into a socket on the Toyota dash.
