Works like a champ with my new Pioneer

Tricky bastard trying to figure out where he was supposed to go on my 4runner but at least I won and won. 5th generation 4runner, the connection point is behind the glove box (you must remove this glove box), on the right side. Works like a champ with my new pioneer

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Negative Present

Fits 2011 Toyota Tundra without JBL

Fits my air conditioned USB/Aux jack. It connects to the back of the stereo with a metal box behind the glove box. The instructions are to remove the glove box, but I was able to pull the bottom covers under the glove box and reach to hook it up. Fits well, but it's best to pull all items out of the glove box.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Easy when you know where to connect.

Works great. Read reviews describing where this can be hooked up behind the glove box. Glove boxes do not need to be removed on the 2012 Tundra. Simply remove the kick strip under the glove box and look up near the center console. A cable is connected to the metal box, which must be disconnected and then connected to the new Metra cable.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No

Great adaptor. for computer accessories and peripherals

I have a 2013 Tundra. Other reviews that the connector is above and to the left of the lower glove box are correct. It was easy enough to install and the standard plug worked. However, it may be "bugly" with the Kenwood CarPlay feature on my device. I half-expected this because Kenwood recommends NOT using adapters or extension cords and only use the included USB cable. Otherwise great cable.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Required to upgrade the Scion/Toyota stereo system.

This item, used in conjunction with the "Car USB Adapter Cable, Wire Cord, 1m, 3ft" sold by uxcell, allowed me to reactivate the factory USB/AUX input on the center console. My Scion xB is 2010. I upgraded the factory stereo from a 2015 Scion FRS to a factory touchscreen stereo. The plugs were different so these 2 adapters allowed me to make the connection. Item arrived on time, in retail packaging, exactly as described. Very satisfied

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Worked great in my 2012 Highlander Hybrid. I replaced the factory navigation system with an aftermarket head unit but wanted to keep the existing Toyota USB/aux socket in the dash. This cable allowed me to connect a Toyota jack to a regular USB jack on the back of a new head unit. Deactivate. The first photo shows a Toyota cable: the left connector plugs into the back of the USB and Aux port. Leave it connected. The cable splits in two, with half the USB going into the box just behind the radio

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Was damaged

Cheap design perfect for my 2012 tacoma

cable perfect for my 2012 tacoma, the problem is the usb connector is cheap and i keep losing connection, i have to replace the usb side with another one Page or better replace quality (cutting, soldering, etc.). Note that this cable will NOT connect directly to the radio, you will need the AX-TOYUSB cable that comes with the radio and this AX-TOYUSB-2 cable (NOTE 2 on the end) goes to the OEM USB port on the truck. Maybe just bad luck with a bad cable, if it wasn't for the USB side it would…

Pros
  • computer accessories and peripherals
Cons
  • boring packaging

Perfect fit for Tundra

Perfect for keeping my Tundra USB plug in the dash. People said this adapter doesn't fit, they were wrong. It does not connect to the USB port on the dashboard. You'll need to remove both glove boxes to find the correct location. After the glove box is removed look to the left and you will see a small metal box with 3 sets of wires, one of which is the brown connector you will need. Simply plug this brown connector into your new adapter and the other end into the USB port on your second radio…

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Will not fit 2018 4Runner TRD Pro

This item will NOT fit 2010 Toyota as the title says. It didn't fit my 2018 4Runner TRD Pro as expected. The glove compartment searched and some people specified in vain. Looks like 4Runner 2018 needs something similar. . I gave the product 2 stars as it looks like a good product and they have since updated the description to show some of the cars that go with it although the title is still misleading. Just wanted to post in case it helps others avoid the same frustrations.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Very expensive
