I ordered small gingerbread man. I have a 10.5 pound Maltese. Her legs are very thin in comparison to her foot size (which is still very small) and that's why these socks work so well. The socks stretch enough to get over her long fur and the top is elastic and small enough to fit snug enough that these do not fall off or move around much on walks. The velcro straps just add an additional layer of protection so they don't slide off. Make sure when using velcro that you put it on so that the end sticks to itself. If you put on backwards, the velcro end hangs. Socks do not come with directions but they are easy to figure out with trial and error. Unlike the 3 other pairs of "shoes" I have tried to get my dog to wear in the past, these are the only ones that she immediately could walk normally in and not like a Clydesdale. The video and photos were all taken the first day. As you can see she took to them immediately and had no problems. Sock bottom has a rubberized paw texture that helps with our wood floors. And seriously, they are so cute.
