I put the main component and the ignition key part into the new key fob case and found that my car would not start. After searching online I found that in addition to the other two parts you need to take the tiny security chip that is in the case and put it in the new one. I had no idea there was a safety chip (it's also very hard to get out of the old case) but without it the car won't start. It's hard to find and remove, but now that it's in the new case (which doesn't have the tiny box like the old fob) it starts the car. It would be helpful if instructions were included with the spare key.
