BLON Mini are fantastic looking metal headphones with a single 6mm microdynamic driver. The kit includes a standard 3.5mm cable, which is a slightly upgraded version of the mediocre cable that came with the BLON 03, several accessory kits, and a small carrying case. It comes in an attractive slim long box and overall is a simple but fairly attractive presentation at around $30. The shape of the BLON Minis is unique and I have never seen anything like it on any other device. Surprisingly, they are extremely comfortable and it is very easy to get a good seal with them. The design takes into account the ergonomics of the human ear and I think BLON did an excellent job developing the BLON Mini. I actually wonder why this form factor hasn't been used before and why other companies don't make devices in this form. I'm tempted to say that this form factor works better for me personally than any other device I've tried. When you hold the BLON Mini in your hands, you might think that they cost three times as much. They are beautiful, stylish and look very solid. Overall the build quality is excellent and I really like their aesthetics! The sound is clear, slightly V-shaped, balanced, airy and powerful. A slight emphasis is placed on the upper frequencies, but it's done with taste and I really like it. The Mini has a good low end that hits hard with a powerful punch. Clean, impactful, pleasing and tight mids pair well with vocals. The slightly boosted highs can be a little harsh at times, but are overall comfortable with no hiss. Mini has good resolution and transparency. The soundstage is wider than you'd expect from a $30 model, but not too wide. I tried playing around with the tips and found that the BLON Mini benefits a lot from the foam tips for me personally. Your mileage may vary, but I suggest experimenting with different tips. In my opinion, BLON Mini is a very worthy successor to BLON 03. They sound great! You are cozy! And this design kills! Are they better than 03? That's a good question. Personally I prefer mini by a mile for comfort! I also prefer the Mini by far in terms of design. They're just cool looking things. And the main question is which is sonically better, and here's a tie for me. The sound of the BLON Mini is sufficiently different from the BLON 03 to justify using both. While I love BLON 03s I constantly struggle to get them to fit properly and they need constant adjustment. The Mini-BLON design ensures the fit. They stay in place without the need for adjustment and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Did I say they sound good?! Yes, they do! Well done BLON! Minikeeper for me! It's a snazzy-looking piece that sounds and looks business-like, and only costs $30. I like you very much! Five stars!
