All the reasons why this center is not worth your hard earned money.

The company that sells this product includes a paper brochure that encourages customers to leave positive feedback to receive a free MacBook leather sleeve. Many of the reviews for this product are overly positive, not mentioning anything important and not mentioning actually using an external 4K display. I would advise against sending shipping information to this company (or any other company requesting personal information). I am using M1 MacBook Air (2020). This product is advertised as supporting 4K 60Hz (4K 60fps) video output. He does NOT do that reliably. I was able to get the output to work, but every 2-3 minutes the screen would switch inputs and it took some time (around 4-5 minutes) to restore the output. 1 - The concentrator VERY easily overheats. I have connected a USB 2.0 mouse (Logitech G203) and a 4K monitor (Scepter U278W-4000R). It's very difficult for a hub to send that much data through the HDMI port, for some reason they didn't properly test the product with the resolution/conditions they advertised. 2 - My M1 MBA charges much slower than the replacement cable that came with it. Even with nothing plugged into the hub, I see a one to two hour charge time to reach 80% - 100% battery3 - Again, don't buy this adapter if you plan to connect an external 4K display. . It can work well at 30Hz/30fps, but it's definitely not capable of reliably supporting a 4K connection at 60fps. It will overheat so badly that it will stop video output entirely, causing your monitor to switch to the inputs and preventing you from returning to the hub. This is one of the most frustrating things when working on something in Photoshop/Lightroom and the display is turning on and off every few minutes. The ONLY reason it has two stars instead of one is because it can actually handle reads and writes. from the SD card without overheating. At first glance it looks like it's well built, but inside is a trash can. Spend your money elsewhere.
