I got this for my fairly large cat (16lbs) since he never really fit well or liked traditional cat trees and they never seemed sturdy enough. This was super easy to set up. It look him a little to warm up to actually sleeping on the top part, but he loved the scratching posts immediately. Eventually sleeping on the top of this became one of his favorite napping spots. It's super soft and pretty plushy. While merle was admittedly a little overweight when I got this, he has since lost a little weight and now fits in the little hidey hole (barely) and voluntarily jumps in and naps in there. All in all I think that was definitely a good purchase. My only wish is that it there was another version where the bed part could be flush with the wall.
