DO NOT BUY IF TECHNOLOGICALLY PERFECT

This product is not for the faint of heart. I've been playing around with this thing for hours on two different computers. Finally deserved. On the first PC I never saw the video in the capture window but it did capture I found out later. However, since I didn't need the entire tape, it was hard to know what stage of production I was at. So I switched to a different computer and the drivers didn't show up as usual, even after multiple reboots. I sent a message to support. The first response was that I checked some things - um, I sent screenshots and they could see that those things were correct. They still haven't responded to my second request. Wow, I moved the USB connection to port 3.0 and it worked. I'm trying to digitize tons of old home videos to reduce storage space. Spent many hours setting it up. But now it works and I don't have to tether my main computer after moving it to another one. I still wouldn't recommend it. OH and I forgot to add - I can't use an S-Video connection because they sent it with the female end and not the correct male end. I tried to buy an adapter but no one has one and I tried to buy a cable but didn't want to pay more than $30 for it even though I wasn't even sure I would get this thing to work. Um, that was annoying.
