With new threads appearing every day, searching through hundreds of different threads can be a daunting task. I chose the Makerbot thread because it seemed like the right choice for those new to FFF/FDM. Works great and didn't have any of the issues I've read about on some of the other threads. My only complaint is the price, honestly it's a bit high compared to other filaments of similar quality (I'm now experimenting with non-Makerbot filaments with great success). There are a few other manufacturers with similar or better filament quality for less money. , but as the name suggests, if in doubt spend the extra money as this is a very good thread, with good consistency, at least the spools I've used so far. This is my honest opinion, I'm new to 3D printing and don't leave much feedback,
